I feel like we all need to practice a little sauntering in our lives. It puts things into perspective. Slows our roll just a little bit.
We are programed to go SO FAST now – always rushing from one thing to the next. 100 MPH all day until we crash at night…only to get up the next day and do it all over again. Day after day, full speed ahead.
Slowing down a little and meandering a bit doesn’t quite fit into our schedule, so we just don’t do it.
It is a waste of time, we think.
Oh, but it is not. Our body and mind crave the occasional saunter. We need it. It renews us.
Take time to saunter, to stroll, to wander and relax…to tromp and dally and linger in a quiet place for just a few minutes longer than you “think” you should. You won’t regret it.
