To Jennifer & the First United Bank Team…
I wanted to take this opportunity to express my gratitude for a special individual at your company. At this point, I have had the pleasure of working with Robert Meagher twice in the last year or so. First, on our original purchase of our beautiful home in San Antonio, TX. And just recently on our refinance about 18 months later.
Robert has been nothing short of amazing to me & family. He’s responsive, punctual, professional, and always willing to go the extra mile for us. He is patient, positive, and understanding. We have spent countless hours on the phone talking and addressing (to exhaustion) all of my questions regarding the buying/refi process, the mechanics behind the loan amount, how it is all calculated, what to expect next, etc. And every time I think he’s ready to just throw his hands up and give up, he jumps right back in with his “service with a smile” mentality.
It’s not often you run across a “Robert”, especially these days. In a fast pace world where business and customer success isn’t always built on relationships, it’s hard to find the balance between being fanatical about your client and their well-being, and treating them like just another number. Someone who just helps you get to your quota every month. Robert has never made us feel that way. Not once. Not ever.
I have been in various leadership roles for the last 10 years, and if you don’t have people on the front line with a “customer first” philosophy it’s hard to keep your clients happy and with you for the long haul. Hearing that someone on my team or a rep that reports to me has done well is always a bucket filler. It’s those emails & kudos that bring a smile to your face. Like your little one coming home with a smiley face on their 1st grade project.
Not to get all sappy on ya, but I think most of you know the feeling ?
Now what you all do with the feedback is up to you. My hope is that Robert is commended for his hard work and rewarded appropriately. A smiley face on his next performance review, a pat on the back from his peers & leadership, a free day off, or a nice little bonus I’m sure are all acceptable incentives for him to keep up and continue the great work. This year has been odd for all of us. And I’m hoping that a little goodness brings light to what is, and could be a dark time for some. So cheers to Robert & Team Guidry! You guys rock!
@Robert – I’m impressed man! Thanks again for taking care of us, and being there to help us through what most would think is a super stressful and nerve racking process (it really is lol). You made it easy and handled yourself like a boss (on both occasions)! Keep up the great work! <<insert virtual fist bump here>>
@Jennifer – I’m sure you already know, but you’ve got a keeper here! Thank you for your help and your team’s support these past few years.
Hope you all take care, and stay safe! Till next time….
