I can hear my Grandma saying it to me now, “Your health is your wealth”…and dang it, she is right. Gram is about to be 90 in 2 months and she is still a firecracker even though she is slowing down a bit.
If you don’t have your health, then you have NOTHING…no matter how well off you are.
No health= No wealth.
You can have all of the money in the world…but if you are sick and can’t do anything with it, then you have nothing.
Thanks, Gram!!
Most people don’t think about how today’s actions are going to effect themselves later in life. If you don’t take the time to exercise, eat good and nutritious food, de-stress etc. now in life, how are you going to feel 10, 15, 30 + years from now? Like shit.
You have GOT to take care of yourself. You only get one body.
How do you want to be when you get old? Do you want to be fit? Able to do things? Healthy? Take those actions now to ensure that before it is too late.
Or…don’t take any action and see what happens. You won’t like it one bit.
We have this amazing ability to make changes in our lives. I am a prime example. Back in my 20’s and early 30’s I was unhealthy. I smoked, ate whatever I wanted to. Didn’t exercise. Worked 80+ hours a week. Ick. I look at pictures of myself from back in those days and I can’t even hardly recognize myself. Totally gross. Sometimes, I wonder what I would be like today if I would have stayed on that route that I was on.
Cancer hit me in my early 30’s and I decided to make a change in my life. I started working out almost daily. I stopped drinking pop. I stopped eating processed food whenever I could help it and my fridge is now full of fresh food. I rarely eat sugar.
And I feel better now at the age of 43 than I did when I was in my 20’s. I FEEL like I look younger too…softer, if that makes sense.
I look and feel completely different…just by changing my lifestyle. Trust me, it was very difficult when I first started, but now it is so easy…and it is just part of my life now.
I don’t think that it is ever “too late” to change your lifestyle (unless you are dead)…there are no excuses not too stop that destructive path you are on and to get your butt on a new path.
If you are unable to exercise due to a health issue, then you CAN eat right. There is always something that you can do to make your life healthier. Always.
As my wise Grandma says, “Your health is your wealth”…
What are you waiting for?
